A Father’s Emergency Became a Mission to Protect Others

My name is Jeff Legleu, founder of My Emergency Data. But before I was a business owner, I was a son who experienced every family’s nightmare.

In September 2020, my dad was rushed to the emergency room. It took more than four hours for the hospital to reach me. My dad couldn’t remember his medications, past surgeries, or even his doctor’s information. Critical details were missing, and his treatment was delayed.

I was heartbroken and frustrated. I knew there had to be a better way.

Out of fear for my dad, I created My Emergency Data—a simple solution that could one day save a life.

Working with medical professionals, I developed a secure, easy-to-use system that puts vital medical information, emergency contacts, allergies, medications, surgeries, and more at your fingertips when every second matters. Wearable USB devices and Medical Alert Life Pockets help people keep their essential information close, along with important legal documents and even notes about pets waiting at home.
